The immunological department performs serological tests relating to the detection of autoantibodies, antibodies which are able to react with same elements of the organism (such as ANA, ASMA, AMA anti - ds DNA, APCA, ANCA, ACA, ENA anti-Ro, anti -La, anti scl-70, etc.) the testing of specific proteins (immunoglobulins, CRP, Supplement, RF) and the identification of antibodies specific IgE (RAST).

The virological department detects the presence of antigens and antibodies to a plurality of pathogens such as hepatitis A, B, C, D, HIV I-II, toxoplasma, rubella, cytomegalovirus (CMV), herpes viruses (HSV I and II), Epstein-Barr (EBV ), chickenpox virus, herpes zoster virus (VZV), Helicobacter, syphilis.

These tests are performed to confirm the absence or presence of the disease, to do testing (screening) in asymptomatic patients, to obtain prognostic information and to follow the course of treatment.
