Axial Tomography

The Axial Tomography is a radiological test method illustrates in vertical sections around the body using X-rays. Sometimes the performance of the test requires taking of contrast substance. Axial Tomography shows the internal organs and allows the examiner to look for lesions or abnormalities in places where conventional imaging methods (such as a radiography) cannot detect.

With helical Axial tomography technology (spiral), also provided the possibility of making cuts at other levels (frontal, coronal and oblique).

There is also the possibility of three-dimensional image (3D), which are very helpful in orthopedics and cardiology-angiology.
